The Story...........

Rick Gannon once served the British Army in the hell-hole that is Helmand Province. Now he serves the world as a volunteer in an International Aid organisation struggling to make headway in the province of Kandahar, Afghanistan. The travesties that Rick witnessed during his service are the things that compel him to fight for every person whose rights are squandered, lost, or betrayed by government. Rick Gannon is a modern day freedom fighter, with righteousness his weapon of choice. But when he uncovers an ongoing plot to utilise the mountain regions of the Middle East as a testing ground for the West's latest biological agent, he turns informant in an effort to bring the world's media flocking to the tragedy. Instead he finds himself the prisoner of a country he once proudly served, as they conduct live testing on political enemies, and radical thinkers. Rick is now one of those confined to a medical research facility in the middle of 'God-knows-where', awaiting his turn for the surgical table that will rob him of his human rights, and turn him, as it has many others, into a human guinea pig, for a nation dedicated to the development of a weapon that will kill hundreds of thousands of innocent bystanders in their phoney war on terror.

First Thoughts.....

The first 95 pages are completed.

What began as an idea for a SciFi -horror-political-thriller thingy that flipped mid-script from Conspiracy theory to 28 Day Later zombie'esque terror has now evolved into a solid political thriller with real horror - the idea of mankind's demise at the hands of a few well placed, corrupt, and greedy government figures prepared to sacrifice hundreds of thousands, if not millions of innocent lives as they test the newest and potentially most deadly scientifically engineered weapon ever created in a mountainous war-zone.

With a Spooks-type game of cat and mouse between agents and a former soldier-turned-charity aid worker, military testing of bioweapons in Afghanistan, government manoeuvring and underhanded negotiations between rival agencies on both sides of the pond, families at risk from the potential viral exposure, subjects kidnapped off the street by shadowy 'enforcers' for live testing of the new weapon on an isolated but well-fortified island facility, and the inevitable collapse of order as experiments go out of control.....................................................................

Wow! This is gonna be a goodie you can count on it.

Now the remainder of the script to finish, and this is the most difficult part.....where all the shit hits the fan.
